Apply for Membership

The Applicant, hereby apply for membership in Salmon River Electric Cooperative, Inc., hereinafter called the Cooperative, agrees to purchase electric energy and services from the Cooperative.

The Applicant agrees to pay the Cooperative an established membership fee and agrees to comply with and be bound by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaw of the Cooperative and any policies, rules, and regulations as may be adopted from time to time by the Board of Directors.

The Applicant may be required to pay a security deposit.

The Applicant agrees to pay the charge for electric energy and other services each month on or before the designated due date, at the rates in accordance with the applicable rate schedule as may be modified from time to time by the Board of Directors.

The Applicant hereby grants that the Cooperative by and through its agents, servants and employees, shall at all times have full and free access to and across the Applicant’s property for any necessary purpose connected with the construction, use, operation, maintenance, and repair of any power lines, meters, transformers, poles, and other appurtenances, including but not limited to the passage of necessary vehicles, equipment and personnel for meter reading, repair of facilities and control of trees and shrubbery. This grant applies to any subsequent services the Applicant obtains and is in addition to any other grant provide by the Applicant, its predecessor or successors.

Each member shall be responsible for and shall indemnify the Cooperative against injury, loss or damage resulting from any actions or failure to act on the part of the member, or related to a defect in or improper use or maintenance of the member’s premises, machinery or equipment. In no event shall the responsibility of the Cooperative extend beyond the metering point.
