Residential Single Phase Service

Applicability

This schedule is applicable to services that are single phase, standard voltage, and supplied through one point of delivery for residential service members and general domestic uses. Single phase motors, of 10 horsepower rating or less, are permissible.

When usage at a dwelling is used predominately for business, professional or other gainful purposes, the premises will be classified as a non-residential and the appropriate schedules applied. However, if the wiring is so arranged that the service for residential purposes can be metered separately, this schedule will be applied to such service.

Availability

Service under this schedule is available at points on the Cooperative’s interconnected system where existing facilities of adequate capacity and desired phase and voltage are available, and additional investment by the Cooperative for new transmission, substation, or terminal facilities is not necessary to supply the desired service.

Meter Read

Meters will be read by the Cooperative beginning on the 24th of each month at midnight.

Monthly Charge

The Monthly Charge is the sum of the Access Charge and kWh charge at the following rates:

Dusk to Dawn Lighting Service

Availability

Service under this schedule is available to commercial institutions, industrial plants, and residential members presently served from the Cooperative’s interconnected system, where existing overhead secondary distribution facilities of adequate capacity, phase and voltage are presently available adjacent to the premises to be lighted.

Applicability

Service under this schedule is applicable to electric service provided for the outdoor dusk to dawn lighting of commercial, industrial, and residential member grounds, yards, driveways, and premises by means of a Cooperative-owned luminary, mounted on an existing Cooperative pole with a support bracket, automatically controlled by a photoelectric relay.

Character of Service

The facilities required for supplying service, including fixture, control relay, and support bracket for mounting on an existing Cooperative pole with secondary service, are supplied, installed, owned and maintained by the Cooperative in accordance with the Cooperative’s standards and specifications. All necessary repairs and maintenance work, including lamp renewal, will be performed by the Cooperative only during the regularly scheduled working hours of the Cooperative, and the Cooperative shall be allowed 72 hours, subsequent to notification by the Cooperative, for replacing any burned out lamps. Lamps are energized each night providing approximately 4,105 hours of premises lighting per year.

Service under this schedule is for a 1 year minimum. There will be an upfront charge to install or replace a full cut off shade on the light fixture.

Monthly Charge

  • Less than 200 watt – $10
  • 200 to 400 watt – $12

Minimum Charge

The monthly minimum charge shall be the Monthly Charge.

Dusk to Dawn Lighting: City Government Member Owned Fixtures on SREC Poles

Availability

Service under this schedule is available on a case by case basis and requires SREC management approval. Any city government member that is served from the Cooperative’s interconnected system where existing overhead secondary distribution facilities of adequate capacity, phase and voltage are present may be considered for this rate.

Applicability

Service under this schedule is applicable for electric energy provided for the outdoor dusk to dawn lighting of city government member owned lighting fixtures mounted on SREC poles and energized prior to any metering point. Lights must be controlled by a photoelectric relay.

Character of Service

Lighting fixture, wire leads, control relay, and mast for mounting the light on an existing Cooperative pole are purchased and owned by the city government member. Installation and maintenance, and repair (including lamp replacement) will be performed by the Cooperative and billed to the city government member at cost. Work will be performed during the regularly scheduled working hours of the Cooperative and the Cooperative will be allowed 72 hours subsequent to notification to perform such work. The city government member is responsible for maintaining any and all replacement inventory required for their light fixture. The city government member is not authorized at any time to perform any work on streetlights mounted to SREC utility poles. Lamps are energized each night providing approximately 4,105 hours of premises lighting per year.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining the details of the arrangement must be signed between the member and SREC prior to being eligible for this rate.

Monthly Charge

  • 60 Watt LED – $3.50
  • 80 Watt LED – $4.10

Service under this schedule is applicable to all three phase electric services less than 2500 kilowatts (kW) unless another rate schedule applies or is needed due to the uniqueness of the service requirements.

Billing Demand

The Billing Demand is the average kW supplied during the rolling 15-minute period at maximum use during the billing period

Phase Protection

The Cooperative will not be responsible for damage to member’s equipment caused by the loss of one or more phases serving member’s equipment. It is the member’s responsibility to obtain and install adequate phase protection for all three phase motors.

Single Phase Irrigation Service

Applicability

Service under this schedule is applicable to services that are single phase, standard voltage, and supplied through one point of delivery for farm and ranch members for the operation of irrigation pump motors no greater than 10 horsepower in rating.

Availability

Service under this schedule is available at points on the Cooperative’s interconnected system where existing facilities of adequate capacity and desired phase and voltage are available, and additional investment by the Cooperative for new transmission, substation, or terminal facilities is not necessary to supply the desired service.

Irrigation is a seasonal rate which begins with the member’s meter reading for the April billing cycle and ends with the member’s meter reading for the October billing cycle (March 25th through October 24th).

If electric service is not going to be used anytime during the irrigation season, the Cooperative will be notified so that electric service can be disconnected. Service that has been disconnected for the season will be subject to the idle service fee. Irrigation service used anytime throughout the irrigation season will be subject to paying the Minimum Charge in addition to the charges for any power used

Charges for non-seasonal use follow: 1-time charge of $30 billed in the April billing cycle; and power (kWh) billed at the irrigation rate in the April billing cycle.

Three Phase Irrigation Service

Applicability

Service under this schedule is applicable to services that are three phase, standard voltage, and supplied through one point of delivery for farm and ranch members for the operation of irrigation pump motors. If service is provided at primary voltage, the contract for service shall specify the point of delivery, establish all metering costs to be paid by the member, and delineate ownership and control of such facilities.

Availability

Service under this schedule is available at points on the Cooperative’s interconnected system where existing facilities of adequate capacity and desired phase and voltage are available, and additional investment by the Cooperative for new transmission, substation, or terminal facilities is not necessary to supply the desired service.

Irrigation is a seasonal rate which begins with the member’s meter reading for the April billing cycle and ends with the member’s meter reading for the October billing cycle (March 25th through October 24th).

If electric service is not going to be used anytime during the irrigation season, the Cooperative will be notified so that electric service can be disconnected. Service that has been disconnected for the season will be subject to the idle service fee. Three Phase Hecla Rate

Applicability

Service under this schedule is applicable strictly to the three-phase electric service provided to Hecla Mining Company at its Mine Substation located near Jordan Creek.

Availability

Service under this schedule is available at the Mine Substation where SREC interconnects at the terminal of the SREC 69 kilovolt (kV) power line at the Mine Substation. Total metered demand shall not exceed 2500 kW. Service is available under the terms specified in the June 1, 1998, Electric Service Agreement as may be modified or replaced, and the most current Three Phase Hecla rate schedule.

Type of Service

The type of service provided under this schedule is three-phase, alternating current at a nominal frequency of 60 Hz and a nominal voltage of approximately 69,000 volts.

Meter Read

Meters will be read by the Cooperative beginning on the 24th of each month at midnight.

Billing Demand

The Billing Demand is the average kW supplied during the rolling 15-minute period at maximum use during the billing period, adjusted for Power Factor.

Power Factor:
Where the member’s Power Factor is less than 97%, as determined by measurement under actual load conditions, the Cooperative may adjust the kW measured to determine the billing demand by multiplying the measured kW by 97% and dividing by the actual Power Factor.

This schedule applies to members of SREC who sell the electric output from electric generation resources connected to the Cooperative’s electric system in accordance with the Cooperatives Net Metering or Interconnection Policies.

This schedule is available to members of SREC who sell the electric output from electric generation resources connected to the Cooperative’s electric system to another party and that is wheeled across the Cooperative’s electric system in accordance with the Cooperatives Interconnection Policy.
